Honna + Patrick wanted a low-key, outdoor wedding with a bohemian feel in their favorite city: Charleston, South Carolina! I love Honna’s gorgeous Claire Pettibone gown and pretty fishtail braid. And wait until you see the giant tree they were married under with so much lovely spanish moss!
“We brought elements of our hometowns (including soil from Riceville, TN and Rogersville, AL) and incorporated them into our unity symbol. We each poured the soil into a potted jade plant and poured water from the Ashley River there on the plantation. Patrick also had cufflinks made for the groomsmen that reflected where they each were from. The groom’s cufflinks bore the image of a magnolia (MS state flower) and a yellow hammer (state bird of AL). Our awesome Reverend (Peter Lanzillotta) allowed us to put our own beliefs and traditions into a very personal ceremony. We were so blessed that so many of our friends and family were willing to make the trip to take part in our destination wedding and ‘buddymoon’.”
Big thanks to Simply Bloom Photography for sending this one my way and congrats to Honna + Patrick!

Honna: Walking down the aisle with my dad looking out at all our family and friends with Patrick waiting for me by the river under the oak tree. I couldn't help but get emotional.
Patrick: Walking into the reception and hearing the band announce us as Mr. and Mrs. Bryan for the first time.
Enjoy the time with all your family and friends. For us it was so amazing to have all our favorite people in one place at the same time. Soak up all the love. And definitely invest in photography and cinematography. You won't be sorry that you did.
